Outstanding Performer Karolin Anders and sprinter Jamie Ashcroft each won two events and return to defend. GNAC 2014-15 ATHLETES OF THE WEEK MEN Anders swept the pentathlon (meet-record 3,640 points) and triple jump (36-10 ½), while Ashcroft won both the 60 (7.69) and 200 (GNAC-record 24.89). Week of Dec. 8-13: Track – David Durden, Saint Martin’s (So., Olympia, WA – Tumwater) finished third in the 60 hurdles at Nampa with a school-record time of 8.35. That time ranks sixth in GNAC history. Field – Payton Lewis, Northwest Nazarene (Fr., Nampa, ID – Nampa Christian) and Mikel Smith, Saint Martin’s (Jr., Muskogee, OK). Also back to defend are Northwest Nazarene’s Alison Silva in the pole vault (GNAC-record 12-10), Caitlin Curtis in the weight throw (50-10) and Vessie Umu in the shot (43-10 ¾) and Central Washington’s Tayler Fettig (GNAC-record tying 5-9 ¾). WOMEN 2014-15 SEASON SUMMARIES Week of Dec. 8-13: Track – Chelsey Knott, Northwest Nazarene (Fr., Parma, ID) finished second in both the 60 hurdles (8.93) and 200 meters (26.41) in the Jacksons Open. Her time in the hurdles is the eighth fastest in GNAC history and was just .09 seconds off the Crusader school record. Field – Becki Duhamel, Central Washington (Sr., Wenatchee, WA) finished fourth in the shot put (43-4 1/3) and fourth in the weight throw in a provisional national qualifying mark of 53-7 ½.
