Invincible
By Karolyn Fortuner
The forewarning alert blares inside, based on the field of vision.
The poison, forced down by the white covered demons.
Color white represents angels; utterly false
Darkening of the complex mind, but no one comprehends.
Her once maroon heart shrivels down to ash,
Her skull dehydrated to a dry feel.
The roof collapses on her already weak bones;
Her lungs deflate, it’s a race just to take a precious breath.
The tears steam; with her facade overthrowing.
Intense color is now a black and white movie.
The poison tempts to dissipate every essence of the being.
Struggling ends with the chains,
no exit; the confine invincible.
