It can happen anywhere and at any time of the year . Severe weather can bring heavy downpours , downed trees and other debris which can all cause flooding . Flooding doesn ’ t always happen in defined floodplains . Approximately 25 % of flood insurance claims are outside high-risk areas . The City continues to implement programs and procedures to reduce the impacts of flooding . We want all our residents and businesses to Be Flood Prepared !
