Flood Control Projects
The City completed the following drainage and / or erosion projects during the reporting period of October 1 , 2019 to September 30 , 2020 :
� 2015 Bridge Repair ( Treasure Island , Copeland , & Center St ) – Erosion and bridge repair identified as part of TXDOT ’ s bridge inspection program . Treasure Island and Copeland bridge repairs were deemed unnecessary at this time . Center Street bridge improvements were included in the Johnson Creek Sewer Project .
� 2017 Bridge Maintenance - Annual contract to complete bridge maintenance identified by bridge inspections . Locations include Hardisty , Park Row , Ballpark , Beady and Dugan . This project is being completed in phases .
� 2017 Miscellaneous Maintenance Phase 1 - Miscellaneous large maintenance projects at various locations . Phase 1 included storm drainage improvements at Running Brook Drive .
� 2017 Miscellaneous Maintenance Phase 2 - Miscellaneous large maintenance projects at various locations .
Phase 2 included channel improvements in the concrete channel south of Green Hill Drive .

Greencove Drainage Improvements – drainage improvements to alleviate residential flooding Sublett Creek Neighborhood Drainage Improvements ( Hollow Creek , Doty Lane , Redstone Dr ., and Suffolk Dr .) – drainage improvements to alleviate residential flooding .
The following projects were under construction during the reporting period :
� 2019 Stormwater Maintenance , Phase 1 – Maintenance of existing drainage 1901 Thames Drive , Maywood ( from 2017 Miscellaneous Maintenance ) and Powder Horn .
� Country Club Rd . Local Drainage and Channel Improvements ( South of Park Row ) – drainage improvements to alleviate residential flooding and repair creek erosion associated with the transition from concrete channel to natural creek . Includes Park Row location from 2017 Bridge Maintenance Project .
� Flood Mitigation Buyouts – Three homes are being purchased and demolished utilizing FEMA grants or City funds to remove them from areas with a known flood hazard .
� Lower Johnson Creek Dredging – dredging of sediment from the Richard Green Linear Park pond within the Johnson Creek watershed
� Matthews Court Drainage Improvements , Phase 1 and 2 – Drainage improvements to alleviate residential flooding . Includes channel and neighborhood drainage improvements . This project is being constructed in phases . The first and second phase were under construction in this fiscal year and include improvements from Randol Mill Park to Matthews Court . � Rush Creek at Indian Trail Erosion - Channel improvements in Rush Creek to protect Indian Trail . � Washington Creek Erosion – Reach based streambank stabilization to reduce erosion and restore aquatic habitat as part of the Erosion Pilot Program . Select locations within WF ( A ) -2, Tributary 1 between Washington Drive and 505 Franklin Drive are being improved .
� Upper Johnson Creek Dredging – The project involves the dredging of sediment from two City park ponds within the upper Johnson Creek watershed ( Gateway Park and Lakes of Matlock ), and the design of two grade control structures between the ponds to control future erosion and sediment transport .

2017 Miscellaneous Drainage Improvements - Drainage improvements at various locations including : Shady Lane , Maywood Drive , and Ivycrest Trail to alleviate street and residential flooding . Shady Lane
