Recycle containers shall be stored so as not to be visible from the public street or right-ofway in front of residential premises .
Garbage Collection
• Place garbage , trash and brush curbside no later than 7 a . m . on scheduled collection day and no earlier than 7 p . m . the night before . Trash must be secured in a plastic bag , max weight 50 lbs . per bag .
• Cut brush into 4 foot lengths , trim , bund , and stack with large ends toward curb . Bundles may not exceed 50 lbs . and will be collected 1 cubic yard per pickup day .
• No grass clippings , dirt , rock , concrete , bricks or other waste building material ; no paint , oil , chemicals or other flammable / volatile substances will be picked up .
• Bulky items such as furniture and appliances may be placed out for regular trash collection , and should not exceed 1 cubic yard ( about the size of an office desk ) per service day . For multiple bulky items , please use your free landfill coupon to take items directly to the Arlington landfill .
