General Safety Procedures

Avoid direct contact with sewage and be particularly careful of your face and eyes .
Always wear protective rubber gloves , eyewear , and boots , and be especially careful if you have cuts or open sores . Rain gear is also advisable .
Assume everything touched by sewage is contaminated . Clean and disinfect everything sewage has touched .
Wash , disinfect , or discard any clothing or supplies used in the cleanup immediately after use .
Contact the City ’ s Water Utilities Department at 817-459-5900 if you believe the City ’ s sewer line is clogged or if the sewage enters the storm drain system .

General Site Maintenance

Dumpster areas must be kept free of loose or overflowing trash or debris . Pick up trash before mowing
Sweep up grass clippings or other landscape wastes from streets . Do not blow them into the storm drain inlets .
Keep storm drain inlets free of trash , grass clippings and other debris to prevent flooding and damage to our local waterways .
Wastewater from power-washing parking lots and / or buildings cannot enter the storm drain system . Capture all wastewater for proper disposal
Enforce rules on picking up Pet waste
