INTRODUCTION
Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System ( TPDES ) MS4 permit # WQ0004635000 was reissued to the City of Arlington and its co-permittees , the Texas Department of Transportation , Fort Worth District ( TXDOT ) and the University of Texas – Arlington ( UTA ), on April 26 , 2012 with subsequent expiration on April 26 , 2017 . Though the City ’ s permit is currently expired , operations continue under the rules outlined in the existing permit until a new permit is issued . As such , the City of Arlington has prepared this Annual Report as required by Part IV . C of its existing TPDES Permit . This annual report provides a summary of implementation activities for the second interim reporting period ( 2-IRP ) beginning October 1 , 2017 and ending September 30 , 2018 . The second interim period covers all activities from October 1 , 2017 through September 30 , 2018 . Each co-permittee reports implementation and / or continuation of activities as required by the TPDES MS4 permit and as outlined in their respective Stormwater Management Programs ( SWMPs ).
The body of this report summarizes the City of Arlington ’ s activities according to the eight sections outlined in its existing MS4 permit and its Stormwater Management Program ( SWMP ):

** NOTE : The City of Arlington received notice in September 2016 that the TXDOT would no longer act as a copermittee to the City ’ s MS4 permit . Instead , TXDOT would move to a statewide individual permit . As such , a summary of TXDOT activities are not provided in this report . A copy of this notice was provided with the FY17 TPDES report in March 2018 .**
