PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ( SWMP )

In accordance with Part III . G . 2 of the City of Arlington ’ s TPDES MS4 permit , the Stormwater Management Plan ( SWMP ) may be revised with permission from the TCEQ .

Many of the SWMP revisions proposed in FY16 were dependent upon the ratification and implementation of a Unified Stormwater Ordinance and changes to the DCM . However , upon presentation of the USO and DCM to executive management in June 2017 , the decision was made not to move forward with a Unified Stormwater Ordinance but to continue revision of the DCM only . As such , stormwater related ordinances ( Stormwater Pollution Control and Floodplain Administration ) will be revised and updated separately and presented to City Council in late 2019 . Given this decision not to proceed with a Unified Stormwater Ordinance and the timing of permit expiration and the application renewal process , the COA proposes no changes to the SWMP at this time . A revised SWMP is to be prepared with the promulgation of the renewed MS4 permit when it is received . As such , the SWMP continues to be implemented as previously established and approved by TCEQ .
