The Ministry of Tourism and its agencies showcased their individual contributions to the
tourism sector and Jamaica’s development at the Jamaica 55 Tourism Expo. The event,
held Friday August 04, 2017 at the Ministry of Tourism’s Breezeway formed part of the
country’s 55 years of independence celebrations. The event which was hosted by media
personality Dhalia Harris featured story time sessions for the children with Amina
Blackwood-Meeks, a vibrant performance by 2006 second runner up Rising Stars contestant
Nickiesha Barnes and a live outside broadcast was done by RJR 94 FM .
