This year, the organization raised 50 million dollars, from which the St. Christopher’s school for the deaf and the Spanish Town Hospital Neonatal intensive care unit will benefit. The event, which commenced at 7:30 am on Sunday February 18, 2018, saw the energetic Team Tourism ready to walk and run for a worthy cause. A sensitisation workshop was held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre for clerks of court and police officers who operate in the parishes of St. Ann, Westmoreland, Hanover and Trelawny. The workshop was held to discuss laws that govern activities in the resort areas. The cum yah video was used as a visual sensitisation to bring home examples of harassment. As such, representatives from various departments participated in a two day International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 training. The participants got the chance to learn about the meaning of quality, and an extensive look at the areas to consider when providing services and performing duties. The training, it is believed will allow the organization to continue to see exceptional results when presented with tasks. Trainer Timon Waugh provides a definition and explanation of quality
