PASSENGERS
RECEIVE EMPANCIPATION WELCOME
Cruise passengers from Carnival Sensation were pleasantly surprised on Emancipation Day . When the ship docked in Ocho Rios , the passengers got the chance to participate in Jamaica ’ s celebration of 180 years of Emancipation . Jamaican culture was put on display through our dance , music and food .
Music and dance represented all the different ethnic influences ; showcasing moves adopted from Africa , through to Dancehall . They received delectable treats through samples of jerk chicken and pork served with festivals . The visitors also got a taste of our Stamp and Go ( saltfish fritters ) and some of our traditional pastry items in the form of gizzadas and grater cake . To top this all off they had ice-cold Jamaican fruit juices . See the highlights below !
