TEEN CHALLENGE JAMAICA (TCJ) –DORMITORY CONSTRUCTION
The project involved the construction of four (4) dormitories to expand the capacity to house an additional 28
persons in the drug rehabilitation program operated under Teen Challenge. The thrust of the project was to help to
reduce harassment, especially in the tourism towns, among other things, by offering drug abusers the opportunity of
rehabilitation through the program.
SERVICING AND REPAIRS OF FIRE HYDRANTS
TRENCH TOWN STORY BOARDS
The project entailed the servicing of 15 hydrants and the repair
of 12 hydrants. The purpose of the storyboards is to take the visitor on a histori-
cal journey as they walk from 1st Street to 7th Street. Each story-
board at each intersection has a different message.
TREASURE BEACH REHABILITATION The scope of work is as follows:
• 11 storyboards
• 1 directional sign (Has been fabricated, to be installed by
January 2018, statutory approval is being sought)
The project entailed the rehabilitation of the road way from
the Pedro Plain Police Station to the Lewis Town Road
Intersection in south St Elizabeth. The works included: drain
repairs and construction; square and patch holes in
selected areas; Scarify, shape roadway and finish with
asphaltic concrete in other areas. The selected road way
is the main corridor to access several attractions along the
south coast.
