STANDARD LANE DEPARTURE ALERT WITH STEERING ASSIST 16
If an inadvertent lane departure is detected and there are visible lane markings , the standard Lane Departure Alert ( LDA ) system will issue both an audible alert and visual warning on the MID screen . If the system determines that the driver is not taking corrective steering action , the Steering Assist ( SA ) function will initiate and provide gentle corrective steering when necessary to help keep the vehicle in the lane .
STANDARD PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM 21 WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTION 22
The standard Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection ( PCS w / PD ) can help you by detecting a pedestrian in certain situations . By combining millimeter-wave radar with a camera capable of shape recognition , the system can alert you with an audible warning and a display notification to a possible collision with a pedestrian under certain circumstances . If you don ’ t react , automatic braking is then given to help prevent a collision from happening .
