Coming Soon to a Neighborhood Near You : Little Free Libraries !

The Little Free Library program is in the process of coming to life . The first library was painted by a member of the Town ’ s Art Committee and displayed in the Civic Fair at the Jupiter Jubilee . The program is in need of ambassadors and book donations , so if you are interested please call 561-741-2400 or stop by the community center to leave your contact information . Check our website for details on when a Little Free Library may be coming to a location near you !

Recently the Jupiter Police Department was awarded grant funding from the Florida Department of Transportation ( FDOT ) for traffic education and enforcement in the Town of Jupiter . From now until September 30th , JPD will be conducting this campaign in order to reduce the number of impaired driving violations , reduce occupant and child safety violations , and reduce speeding and aggressive driving violations .

Through these increased high-visibility patrols and zero tolerance , the Town of Jupiter will remain a safe place to live , work , and visit .

In celebration of Earth Month , local activities of the Great American Cleanup include a massive removal of litter and illegal dumping from our public spaces , including neighborhoods , roadways , waterways , parks , and schools . Additional community improvement activities may include tree plantings , recycling activities , and painting over graffiti or run-down buildings .

Demonstrate your individual responsibility by taking part in this annual effort to make Jupiter neighborhoods and public spaces a safe , more enjoyable place to live , work and play !

This year Town employees will partner with the Solid Waste Authority to clean up the Town ' s campus . We will have the opportunity to take a few minutes out of our morning to pick up litter and make our campus cleaner .

Healthier Jupiter Awards Eight $ 2500 Mini Grants to Local Not-for-Profit and Civic Organizations Healthier Jupiter , the community initiative founded to address health and quality of life issues starting with diabetes , recently awarded eight $ 2500 Mini Grants to deserving local not-for-profit and civic organizations . The goal of the Mini Grant Program is to engage the greater Jupiter community in creating innovative approaches to diabetes prevention and management . The grants are funding pilot ideas that will improve our collective community health in one of three focus areas : increasing access to affordable healthier food choices ; helping individuals become more physically active on a regular basis ; or promoting awareness of diabetes risks and accessing necessary medical care . Healthier Jupiter is funded through a generous grant from Palm HealthCare Foundation as part of its Healthier Together Initiative and headquartered at Jupiter Medical Center .
