ROLE OF TEACHER IN A KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY
The main responsibility of the teacher is to guide the learner to information, to
knowledge and ultimately to the acquisition of wisdom. In this process the teacher has
to play three significant roles.
I KNOWLEDGE MANAGER.
Knowledge management involves capture, sharing, application and creation of
knowledge. As a knowledge manager teacher must have the capacity to take proper
decision, to control situations and must be spontaneous and resourceful to changes. The
major responsibility is to select and integrate information.
