The Cerro Verde or Cuntetepeque1 2 is an extinct volcano located in the Department of Santa Ana, El Salvador, in the Apaneca mountain range. It has a height of 2030 msnm and its crater is eroded and covered by a thick foggy forest. It is estimated that its last eruption was 25,000 years ago. C

as well as an orchid park, walk in the forest and climb to the same volcano of Izalco (height 1,980 meters above sea level) and Santa Ana (height 2,381 meters above sea level). The park also has three recreational trails: The Mysterious Flowers, Window to Nature and Old Mountain Hotel.
