This Project of recycle and circular economy, designed by the students Anabel Espinosa, Geraldin Palacio and Yuliana Durango, aims to select objects that are usually discarded and transform them in new useful objects, in order to reduce the pollution. Some of the new pieces that were designed are:
Handbags, earrings and photo frames, made of soda or beer bottle caps. Other products are: brooms, party decoration supplies and centerpieces.
The project also includes products made of cork, sailboats made of disposable spoons. Every product will have a tag with a quote promoting the importance of saving the planet.
Plasticicla aspire the sensitization of people face the commitment of preservation of the environment through recycling. For the leaders of this project it is important to educate human beings, specially children and young people about the importance of becoming good managers of our resources to make the Earth a sustainable place for living.
This project participated in the Unicolombo Prototypes Fair 2018- 2P and in a workshop imparted by Sergio Arboleda University and financed by United States Embassy in Colombia. This initiative of these three students of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management of Unicolombo is a social innovation project which
can be developed in other tourist cities in Colombia, and it can also be applied in others economic sectors.
