Academic Trek
Another space offered by Stop ESCNNA in Tourism Industry, in order to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of children and teenagers, was the encounter with the 9th, 10th and 11th graders of the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús school.
The topic was: Sexual Education as a proposal of integral formation, what really interested all the students, who had the opportunity to express some questions about sexuality, affection, and social relationships.
This training was organized with the help of the Wellbeing office of the school, what was important to the success of this encounter. The students' questions were answered by the professor Vergara and the psychologist of the academic institution, Diana Betancourt. Finally, the students gave their opinion about the importance of this discussion spaces, in order to discover more about their sexuality and the commercial sexual exploitation of children and teenagers.
They really liked this academic experience, because it will be useful before taking a decision related to sexuality. It also will let them to be aware, because this crime is every day closer to their social context. More than they can imagine.
