Panel about Tourism in Cartagena de Indias and Bolivar

On February 20th a panel of experts in Tourism, organized by Icultur, took place in the Institución Universitaria Bellas Artes y Ciencias de Bolívar (Unibac). It was a panel about strategic alliances between Cartagena de Indias and Bolívar Department, which was devolepped in the frame of the First Departmental Encounter of Tourism.

It is important to highlight that two of the professors of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Katia Roman and Francisco Vergara, were guest panelists.

The rest of the panelists were: The general manager of the hotel campestre Villa Martha, in Turbaco; María Bernarda Palomino, Secretary of Tourism of Santa Cruz de Mompox; María Camila Salas: researcher; María Claudia Páez, President of Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena.

Besides the panel, the agenda included a gastronomy and arts and craft fair, and other panel related to competitiveness. The encounter concluded with the graduation ceremony of the training about rural tourism offered to students from Santa Catalina.
