Diploma in International Tourism: Mexico D.F. and Cancún

Every year, the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management chooses an international destination to develop an international Diplomado, one of the graduation option for the students of this academic program.
This time, Mexico was selected as the ideal tourism destination to develop academic activities between Unicolombo and Quintana Roo University in Cancún, From 3rd to 9th March.
The leader of this academic experience was the Coordinator of the Bachelor, Yasmira Mercado De Horta, who oriented the 20 students that decided to discover one of the most important international tourism destinations.
The students had the opportunity to visit the following places:
In D.F., they visited Teotiguacan Pyramids, Guadalupe Basilic, Xochimilco, among other places of interest. In Cancun, they visited the University Quintana Roo and the Delfines Beach. There, the students from Unicolombo shared their experiences with Mexican students from the Bachelor of Alternative Tourism Management. They showed a typical Colombian dance demonstration and offered some Colombian ground coffee.
This was a very interesting meet that let the students to learn how the tourism industry is been developed in two of the most important tourist city. This may be the first of many academic encounters in Mexico.
