Lectures during the Unicolombo's World Tourism Day Celebration

The World Tourism Day in Unicolombo was celebrated in two educational environments: The auditorium and the classrooms where some stands where located. In the classroom, a group of students of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality showed their innovation ideas for tourism industry: Apps, 360° tours, web sites etc.
In the auditorium, the rest of the students attended three lectures about new trends in tourism related to digital technologies as a contribution to sustainable and responsible development.
The local tourism sector was represented by Edwin Torres, from Hotel Las Américas Cartagena de Indias, who talked about the new trends in events organization and explained how Mice Tourism in growing in Cartagena de Indias.
Edwin Machacón from Migración Colombia, explained the new software for migration process in Colombia, and a group of students had the opportunity to get on a bus which has a specific system that benefits people with disabilities. The Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality celebrated the World Tourism Day with a new sense of responsibility.
