ilversea’s guests continue to
enjoy a range of enrichments
aboard the Tale of Tales
World Cruise 2019, including a range
of enrichment events—both onboard
and shoreside— including fascinating
lectures from the voyage’s esteemed
‘Tale Tellers.’ Pico Iyer, Saroo Brierley,
Harold Koda, and Laksmi Pamuntjak
have each joined the Tale of Tales
for one segment so far, delivering
insightful talks, socialising with
guests, and contributing a chapter to
the Tale of Tales anthology. Currently
unlocking deep travel experiences for
guests on the World Cruise’s fourth
segment between Bali and Tokyo, Silver
Whisper continues to foster a convivial
atmosphere in which guests are
enjoying immersive travel experiences
while cruising in ultimate comfort.

Pico Iyer was the first to join the
Tale of Tales World Cruise 2019,
embarking in San Francisco at the
start of the voyage and travelling as
far as Papeete in Tahiti. Referred to by
some as “arguably the world’s greatest
living travel writer,” Pico Iyer delivered
a well-received lecture entitled ‘The
World We Seldom See,’ adapted from
one of the author’s three TED Talks,
which was followed by a Q&A session
with guests. A relaxed social event
in the Panorama Lounge followed, in
which guests were able to interact with
Iyer over cocktails. The Oxford and
Harvard graduate also hosted dinners
with guests, the Captain, and Senior
Officers.
