NEWS / AIRLINES GoAir FLIGHTS TO MUSCAT AND ABU DHABI TAKES OFF FROM KANNUR 3 WEEKLY DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN KANNUR AND MUSCAT & 4 WEEKLY DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN KANNUR AND ABU DHABI G oAir flight from the newly opened Kannur International Airport in Kerala to Muscat became a reality with the flagging off the maiden flight on last day of February. GoAir welcomed the passengers on aboard its G8 055 flight to Muscat and prior to take off, officials initiated the customary lighting of lamp and a cake cutting ceremony was observed by media and travel industry professionals. Upon arrival in Muscat, the aircraft has received a grand water cannon salute, followed by warm welcome by Muscat International Airport and Oman Aviation Services authorities. Subsequently GoAir flight G8 053 from Kannur to Abu Dhabi has welcomed passengers aboard andupon arrival in Abu Dhabi an elaborate welcome ceremony has arranged by 36 Tourism India March 2019 senior officials of Abu Dhabi Airports Company which operates several airports in the UAE. Commenting on GoAir’s entry into the Middle East, Mr. JehWadia, Managing Director, GoAir said: “Close on the heels of successfully launching Male and Phuket sectors, I am happy to see GoAir touch the skies of Middle East and reach out to Muscat and Abu Dhabi. Both these markets are important milestone for us – they will act as a springboard for GoAir to launch newer sectors in the region. The overwhelming response has validated our strong belief that there is huge potential between Kannur – Muscat and Kannur – Abu Dhabi.
