India after assuming charge recently
and had an official discussion with
Mr. K.J Alphons, Union Minister of
State for Tourism, India at his office
in New Delhi to discuss the mutual
cooperation and promotions in tourism
between two neighbouring countries
to promote, Republics of India and
Maldives.
Furthermore, ways and means by

together in strengthening the tourism
industry were highlighted during this
meeting. There were also discussions
on convenient ways to allow Indian
tourists to access all of Maldives.
Mr. Waheed was leading a team on
an official trip to India to attend 5th
Global Summit held in New Delhi
from 22nd to 23rd February 2019,
along with the Mayors of Addu City,
Male City, Fuvahmulah City and the
President of Kulhudhuffushi Council.
