unsets in Morocco are a whole
different experience compared
to anywhere else in the world,
Morrocco, the country overlooks the
Mediterranean Sea to the north and the
Atlantic Ocean to the west.
Each city of Morocco has its own distinct
color scheme & characteristics, which we
can never experience in anywhere in the
world. White Rabat, the capital city, Red
hues in Marrakesh- the historic city to the
gentle Lilacs in Casablanca- the commercial
hub and sapphire blues in Chefchaouen -
a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest
Morocco. Even the taxis of each city has
their own colors & features.
Marrakesh doesn’t sound like a special
city. Morocco’s capital city (that’s Rabat).
It’s not the country’s largest metropolis
(that’s Casablanca). It’s not even the
African nation’s oldest city (that’s Fes).
But Marrakech triumphs over other
Moroccan cities as the unofficial cultural
center thanks to the winding alleys of its
vast medina, contrasted with the modern
malls and restaurants of the Nouvelle
Ville, juxtaposed yet again with the
luxurious palm tree-lined resorts and
villas of its Palmeraie district. Marrakech
is one of the most beautiful cities that we
know; comparable only to Baghdad. It is
large and well built, palaces, magnificent
mosques whose chief, called the Mosque
of the Booksellers (kutubiyin) presents
the highest minaret from which one can
see the city in its entirety to the snowy
mountains. “ described Ibn Battuta, even
after seven centuries, the description of
the poet still seems topical in the case of
Marrakesh.
