SHARJAH HERITAGE MUSEUM
The museum is dedicated to
highlighting Sharjah’s authentic
heritage and the rich culture of Emirati
people and Sharjah residents over the
past decades. It emphasizes the value
of the deep rooted Arabic customs and
traditions which are a legacy from the
ancestors and a source of pride and joy
to the coming generations.
There are six galleries covering
the landscape, lifestyle, celebrations,
livelihoods, traditional knowledge and
oral traditions of the emirate.

The Sharjah Museum of Islamic
Civilization holds thousands of rare
and important Islamic artifacts.
Here you can admire the timeless
achievements of Islamic civilization
and its universality, learn about aspects

arts district. You can

exploring the art spaces
and museums housed
in the traditional barjeel
(wind tower) building.
SHARJAH: The emirate of Sharjah is well-
known for its rich, cultural heritage – an identity
that has been recognized a number of times as
shown by the winning of the Cultural Capital
of the Arab World 1998 and Islamic Culture
Capital 2014 awards. It is a vibrant city with an
