ABOUT KIRYA KUTI PROJECT
The Kirya Kuti Project is an Afro­Fusion jazz group based in Cape
Town.The group was founded by Kirya Jackson,who is 
the director,composer and lead artist. Kirya who hails from Uganda,is a
fervid talented saxophone player who has featured as a solo artist at
some of South Africa's major music and entertainment events,such as
the Baxter Theatre,Cape Town Lights Festival,Frank Pacco
Project,Cape Town Marathon Opening Celebrations, as well as the
Savannah and Taste festivals in Cape town and Durban. 
The Kirya Kuti Project offers a variety of top class entertainment.The
various packages available are tailored to suit the needs of any specific
function.Our main clientele includes Weddings, Private parties,
Corporate events, Government functions,Conferences,Team
building,Charity­fundraising, Food and Wine festivals and Commercial
Advertising productions.
The Kirya Kuti Project is a collaboration of young,vibrant and multi­
instrumentalists led by Kira Jackson,with an authentic sound that is
delivered through their passion for music.The musicians believe they
are on a creative journey to reach remarkable milestones one stage at a
time.

The Kirya Kuti Project blends together the Afro­Fusion sounds of marimbas , the island rhythm of the steel pan from
Trinidad & Tobago and a jazzy groovy sound of his saxophone.This has given rise to what some followers now refers to
unique combination of afro fusion,jazz, high­life, soul and pop genres.
The group has shared the stage with  well known South African musicians such as Mafikizolo ,Micasa, Afro Fiesta,Johny
Clegg among others. Kirya Jackson goes on tours yearly to perform in Europe as a solo saxophone artist .He is popular
 as a performer at some of the  biggest jazz and arts festivals in France,Denmark and Italy.
