REGGIE THE NOMAD l should be there in mid-December.

REGGIE THE NOMAD l will fly back from Casablanca, would need to start preparing for my Europe trip( Spain 2 Denmark 2018).

W e managed to contact Reggie the Nomad about his adventure bike ride from Cape Town South Africa to Casablanca Morocco see below our interview with Reggie the Nomad.

TOURISM GUIDE AFRICA Is this your first attempt to travel from Cape Town to Casablanca on a bike?
REGGIE THE NOMAD Yes this will be my first-time riding through Africa to Casablanca. I have done smaller trip which was around South Africa.
TOURISM GUIDE AFRICA What does it take to do something like this?
REGGIE THE NOMAD I think it takes a lot of mental preparation more than anything, as you wake everyday asking yourself“ am l really doing this” lol, but you must look past it and focus.
TOURISM GUIDE AFRICA When do you begin?
REGGIE THE NOMAD l will officially begin end of July, riding towards the Namibian boarder. But l can say l have begun already, as l’ m traveling in and around SA capturing the different travel experiences.
TOURISM GUIDE AFRICA Which countries / borders are you going to pass through?
REGGIE THE NOMAD I am going through 14 countries, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, North Sudan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria then Morocco( Casablanca).
TOURISM GUIDE AFRICA How far will you ride in a day?
REGGIE THE NOMAD It really depends, some boarders and towns are far apart, of which means l will basically sleep where darkness falls. I’ m generally looking at doing 3-5 hrs at most per day with frequent stops for stretching and refreshing will give myself a week and a half to ride through a country.

REGGIE THE NOMAD lm doing this to raise funds for previously disadvantaged Students’ have chosen to support the students at The National School of the Arts. We will use the money raised to pay for their first year Varsity fees. I’ m mainly focused on Arts students as this is very close to my Heart, being an Artist and creative entrepreneur. I would also like to inspire fellow entrepreneurs old and young that we have a role to play in supporting our fellow youth. We don’ t always have to rely on the government to provide.
