The most southerly town in the Northern Territory
is Kulgera. It is close to the geographical central point
of Australia, in a region of vast cattle stations. It is the
community of the Pitjantjatjara aboriginal people and there
are some significant sites of aboriginal rock paintings in the
area. Travellers to Uluru like to stop in to Kulgera on the way
for rest and refreshment at the pub.
Places to visit in the region are the Rainbow Valley
Conservation Reserve, the Henbury Meteorites and Mount
Blatherskite. It is excellent country for adventurous fourwheel driving, such as following the Goyder Stock Route.
Kulgera Roadhouse Hotel Motel has motel rooms as well as
caravan and camping sites. There is a kiosk, service station,
souvenir shop, restaurant and take away.

Why not pull in to Kulgera & have a drink at the Mulga Bar & say
G’day to one of our friendly staff. Kulgera is not only The First &
last Pub in the Northern Territory it is also the most central Pub in
Australia being 15Kms North of the Geodetic centre & 120Kms West
of the Gravitational centre known as Lamberts centre. If it’s hot you
can always have a dip in the refreshing pool or in the cooler months
warm up by the wood fire & check out the photos & memorabilia
from days gone by. We also have a range of accommodation from camp
sites to motel rooms.
