hamburger
Ingredients
• 500g ground lean beef • 1 large egg
• 1/2 cup minced onion
• 1/4 cup fine dried bread crumbs
• 1 Tb Worcestershire sauce
• 1 or 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
• 1/2 tsp salt and pepper • 4 hamburger buns
• Mayonnaise • Tomato sauce
• Lettuce, tomato, red onion
Preparation
• In a bowl, mix beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs,
Worcestershire sauce, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and
1/4 teaspoon pepper until well blended. Divide
mixture into four equal portions and shape each into
a patty about 4 inches wide.
• Lay burgers on an oiled barbecue grill over a solid
bed of hot coals or high heat on a gas grill, close lid
on gas grill. Cook burgers, turning once, until
browned on both sides and no longer pink inside,
7 to 8 minutes total. Remove from grill.
• Lay buns, cut side down, on grill and cook until
lightly toasted, 30 seconds to 1 minute.
• Spread mayonnaise and tomato sauce on bun
bottoms. Add lettuce, tomato, burger, onion
and salt and pepper to taste.

greek salad
Ingredients
• 6 firm ripe tomatoes, coarsely chopped
• 3 Lebanese cucumbers, coarsely chopped
• 1 red capsicum, halved, deseeded, coarsely chopped
• 1 red onion, sliced into rings
• 200g marinated Greek olives
• 220g marinated feta, coarsely chopped
• 1 tsp dried Greek oregano • 125ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
• 60ml (1/4 cup) white vinegar • 1 tsp salt
Preparation
• Mix all ingredients in a large salad bowl and serve
or place in refridgerator until ready to eat. Enjoy!
bbq corn
on the cob
Ingredients
• 4 corn on the cob (with husks) • 4 Tb’s garlic butter
• 4 tsp’s seasoning salt • 2 tsp’s ground black pepper
Preparation
• Pull husks down without removing them.
• Pull off the silk and throw out. Stand corn up
in a bowl cover the pulled down husks and soak
in water for 10-15 minutes.
• Hold the cob at the end and spread 1 tablespoon of
garlic butter (each cob), sprinkle with salt and pepper.
• Pull husks back up over cob.
• Roll each cob in a sheet of foil twisting on the ends.
• BBQ or Bake for 25-30 minutes
(turning every 5 minutes).
• Remove foil and husks, discard and enjoy.
• All steps can be done ahead of time up to cooking
(refrigerate until ready to cook). This is a great time
saver for camping.
