The Waterfall Way drive is rated one of the most scenic in NSW. Waterfall Way lives up to its name as we have many spectacular waterfalls in the area along with World Heritage National Parks with viewing platforms and picnic amenities. The rainforests in Dorrigo National Park are part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area; the most extensive strip of diverse rainforest anywhere on earth. The World Heritage Area is a direct window into the past and the future, providing a link to the ancient pre-human world and a stunning and irreplaceable record of life on our planet. You can explore the rainforest on one of the many walking tracks, like the Lyrebird Link that leaves from the Rainforest Centre. For the active visitor making Dorrigo their destination there is much to choose from, including trout fishing, heartpumping white water rafting, canoeing, pack horse riding, camping, canyoning/abseiling,  four wheel driving, bush walking, and self-drive scenic tours. Quality facilities are also available for golf, tennis, squash and bowling activities. Dorrigo is also the venue for the ever popular Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival in October in each year, The Dorrigo Show in November, as well as our unique Made in Dorrigo Street Market held three times per year and many other regular events. Dorrigo is blessed with rich volcanic soil producing high quality grass fed beef, milk, potatoes, broccoli and avocados. The township has a village heritage feel, well-appointed with hotels, RSL, Cafés, Supermarkets, mechanics, and many unique shops to choose from including a distillery, a blacksmith , arts and craft, sweet shop, antique store, jewellery, farm produce, Real-estate agencies and more.
