Kitchen remodel ; addition of three season porch , pool and outdoor kitchen
After weighing the advantages and disadvantages of moving or remodeling , these homeowners opted for remodeling . The picture-perfect results suggest they made the right choice .
The kitchen ’ s facelift instilled new personality into the outdated space . Existing cabinets were painted a fresh cream color and were then slightly speckled for special effect . A contrasting surface is introduced by the granite countertop and tiled backsplash with a slate border . Hammered nickel hardware and the stainless steel Jenn-Air range and GE French door refrigerator introduce touches of texture and sheen . Additions to the kitchen included a large custom island to provide seating for four and more cabinets for needed storage and a security system .
A screened porch had been on the wish-list for several years , but presented concerns about its use during cold or very hot weather . The decision was made to remove the 19 year old deck and build a three-season addition with separate zoning for heating and air conditioning . EZE-Breeze rectractable clear vinyl panels were selected to allow for an unobstructed view of the backyard . A white brick wall , herringbone brick floor and colorful furniture provide an inviting atmosphere for relaxation and a welcoming area for entertaining .
Guests and family enjoy the new pool and outdoor kitchen that ’ s outfitted with an Uba Tuba granite countertop , Napoleon grill and refrigerator .
