After a three-hour approach, the race’s entry into the high mountains will begin with a classic among classics in the shape of the Col de Peyresourde. It will be followed by a pass introduced in the 21st century, the Hourquette d’Ancizan, which was first tackled during the 2011 Tour and has only featured twice since. What can we expect before the race drops from that summit to the finish at Bagnères-de-Bigorre, 30km away? Will we see a significant contest between the big guns or will they prefer to keep their powder dry for the future? TIMETABLE To ride WELCOME TO THE PYRENEES!
