Infinite PossAbilities
During September, artists
from Springfield and Ipswich
presented the interactive
‘Infinite PossAbilities’ exhibition
at Ipswich’s Community Gallery.
CPL Arts Facilitator Petra
Tawdrous said that “the theme
expresses that no matter
who you are or what your
choices are, there are infinite
possibilities of where you can
go with them”.
“We’ve worked
with people who
are transitioning
from school, to CPL
Springfield. We’ve
aimed to show them
what their possibilities
can be and we’ve had
amazing things come
of out that.”
on a farm, he seems to have
very strong memories of those
early times that really come
out in his art.
“It always makes from an
interesting point of conversation
when people come by my
house and see the piece.
“I also think it’s a great way
to raise funds and support
the local art program – the
artists have a real talent and
they need the opportunity to
express that,” she said.

Speaking of the NDIS, the State CCC welcomes
the announcement from the Queensland and
Federal Governments that the NDIS will have
an early start in Townsville and Charters Towers
for people with disabilities under 18 and all
people with disabilities on Palm Island. This is
an exciting step towards a brighter future for
people with disabilities.
Alongside the introduction of the NDIS, the
committee was thrilled to receive an update
on CPL’s services from General Manager David
Robinson. CPL are making good steps in
preparing for the NDIS and making sure that
their services match what will be available under
the NDIS. This means that clients and families
will be ready to hit the ground running when the
NDIS starts in their area.

The State CCC is looking forward to the
opportunities that will come from CPL’s
New Farm relocation. Given the long history
involved in the New Farm site it will be sad
to leave; however this will provide many new
opportunities. It will allow us to support even
more people with disabilities in the future.
