The tech worlds of Airbnb and Uber have shown the
potential of hacking and appropriating existing systems
and services for new uses and users.
This study subverts the boundaries of the Public Space
Protection Order by using the TFL bus programme
to disperse the Wickes Workers’ trade across the
prohibted territory.
Could the Wickes Workers maintain thier livelihoods
in the face of the imposed sanctions by reconfiguring
the spaces of trade from a static market to one that is
organised across a temporally transient, yet spatially
consistent network ?
