or the first time since the event’s inception in 2001, all three events of the
Totalsports Women’s Race will be hosted on one day across three major
cities. Taking place on Friday 9 August in Johannesburg, Cape Town and
Durban, these races have grown into South Africa’s largest running celebration of
National Women’s Day!

Although a mass participation road run, the Totalsports Women’s Race also
attracts SA’s leading female athletes as well as up-and-coming stars. As
motivation to continue pushing the boundaries, the event offers a combined prize
purse of R123,600 in 2019, with a total of R41,200 going to each city, so you can
look forward to serious racing at the front end of the field.
The Totalsports Women’s Race proudly supports PinkDrive, a Non-Profit
Company (NPC) that is committed to improving breast cancer awareness
and education, and providing free services to the medically uninsured across
South Africa. PinkDrive will be present at the Totalsports Women’s Race in
all three cities, offering FREE clinical breast examinations and educating on
the importance of self-examinations. Athletes are encouraged to run united in

There is never a shortage of excitement at the Totalsports Women’s Race, and
