The Totalsports Women’ s Race Durban route is renowned for being fast and flat, while also providing a scenic showcase of coastal charm as it winds through some of Durban’ s most picturesque spots, making it the ideal stage for personal bests, and hopefully also a World Record.

The 2025 edition of the Totalsports Women’ s Race in Durban on Sunday 3 August is set to provide even more fireworks than previous years as some of the world’ s fastest women challenge not just for the win, but also a huge prize incentive. Title sponsor Totalsports, in partnership with event organiser Stillwater Sports, is offering an unprecedented R1,000,000 incentive for the first female athlete to break the Women’ s Only 10km World Record at the 2025 Totalsports Women’ s Race in Durban. The current World Record in a women-only race is 29:27, set by Agnes Jebet Ngetich of Kenya on 26 April 2025 in Germany.

RACE PRIZE PURSE REVEALED
Meanwhile, the 2025 Totalsports Women’ s Race series of three races will boast a combined prize purse of R412,500, spread equally between the three races in Durban( 3 August), Cape Town( 9 August) and Johannesburg( 17 August). Each event will have an total prize
purse of R137,500, including prize money for the top 10 finishers in the Open Category, with the winner receiving R30,000, second place taking R20,000, and third place earning R15,000. Additional prize money will go to the top three finishers in the Junior, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, and 70 + categories.
