RACE INFO

TOG BAGS
There will be complimentary tog bag drop and collect facilities in the Race Village. There will be assistance to guide you through the process of dropping off and collecting your bag.

Tear off the tog bag tag from your race number and attach it to your tog bag before handing it over to the tog bag staff. Remember to have your race number with you after the race, when collecting your bag.

Please do not bring valuables to the event.

The timing chip is to stay on your race number. Do not attempt to remove it.
Remember to attach your Race Number to your running vest / T- shirt before you leave for the race to prevent it being left at home.
No chip, no result – no exceptions.
ROAD CLOSURES
Please take note that a number of roads in and around the race venue and route will be closed and access will be controlled for the duration of the Totalsports Women’ s Race Cape Town, and this may affect your access to and from the event. Please arrive early to avoid any delays, and you can click here for more information.

RACE DAY PARKING
We strongly encourage runners to make use of car-pooling or public transport, e. g. Uber or other drop & go services, to get to the race venue, if possible.

Parking will be available at the following venues: CPUT Parking – cnr Caledon & Tennent Streets( Free) De Roos Street Parking – between De Roos & Gore Streets( Free) Primrose Street Parking – between Canterbury & Primrose Streets( Free) Sydney Street Parking – just off Tennent Street( Free) Picbel Parkade – 58 Strand Street( Paid) Golden Acre – cnr Adderly & Strand Streets( R20 set fee, cash only) Cape Town Castle – VIP / Disabled / Crew Parking only Note: No public parking available on the Grand Parade.

Free street parking is available in and around the Grand Parade area on a first come, first served basis.
Please do not park illegally or in front of residential properties; vehicles will be towed away.
Time your arrival to ensure that you are well in advance of your allocated batch start time.
Please note that parking is on a first come, first served basis, and all vehicles are parked at own risk.
Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.

START PROCEDURE
Start Venues:
• 10km in Darling Street, between the Cape Town City Hall and the Grand Parade.
• 5km in Castle Street, next to Cape Town Castle
Start Times:
• 10km – 08:00
• 5km – 08:30
Please note that batched starts will be applicable for the 10km.
Batches will be indicated on your race number with the letter A, B, C, D or E, and will start at the following intervals, followed by the 5km mass start. 08:00 – 10km Elites, Age Group Contenders & Batch A 08:03 – 10km Batch B 08:08 – 10km Batch C 08:12 – 10km Batch D 08:17 – 10km Batch E 08:30 – 5km Start( Mass Start for all batches)

10km runners will have white race numbers, while 5km entrants will have pink race numbers

Please make your way to your designated batch in the 10km or 5km start areas. Please arrive at the start early, to avoid any lastminute rush.

Nike, the official Technical Shoe Partner of the event, will be presenting a warm-up for all runners in the start chute prior to the start of the race.

Toilets will be available at the Race Venue on the Grand Parade, close to the start.
CUT-OFF TIMES
No late starters: Runners should note that the start line will officially close at 08:45, which is 15 minutes after the scheduled start time of the 5km run. No late starters will be allowed on the route after that.
