THE BENEFITS OF
Blue
Earning a coveted permanent Blue Number at the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon is the ultimate brag badge, and membership of the Blue Number Club( BNC) brings with it some really cool perks!
A
Blue Number is awarded to any runner who has completed 10 Ultra Marathons, Half Marathons or Trail Runs; or who has achieved five gold medals in the Ultra Marathon; or who has won the Ultra Marathon, Half Marathon, or Trail Run( any distance) three times. There is no joining fee, nor an annual membership fee – you automatically become a member of the BNC Club when you are presented with your Blue Number.
BNC runners enjoy a premier race experience:
1
Early Entries BNC members( and Yellow Number runners going for their 10th) can skip the ballot draw by purchasing one of the reserved BNC entries in the preballot priority entry period. In the ballot draw, BNC members who did not secure an entry during the priority BNC entry window, automatically go into the first draw for the Ultra Marathon and Half Marathon, to further improve their chances of obtaining an entry.
2
Free Entries for 25s In recognition of the extraordinary feat of earning 25 medals in either the Ultra or the Half, and a quarter century of loyalty to the Two Oceans Marathon, all runners with 25 medals or more qualify for a FREE entry into the race that they’ ve earned those 25 medals in.

Special
Seeding Batch BNC members must run a qualifier if running the Ultra, and must submit a seeding time if running the Half, just as all runners are required to do, and this must be submitted before the profile update deadline. However, BNCs receive preferential seeding. Unless the BNC member has submitted a qualifier or seeding time that seeds them in a higher batch, they will be grouped in a batch approximately halfway down the field.
