THE EXPO
A highlight of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon powered by BYD is the Two Oceans Marathon Expo, which includes race pack collection for all participants.
With a hall full of exhibitors and retailers, showcasing the latest in running gear, nutrition, technology and more over four days, the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Expo is where athletic innovation, technology, entertainment and excitement meet. The Expo caters for all sports enthusiasts, for families who are supporting runners, and for the newbies who are aspiring to be on the starting line one day. This is where the race journey begins, and the excitement of race weekend truly comes to life.
This year, the Expo moves back to the Cape Town International Convention Centre – specifically the CTICC 2 building – and will run from Wednesday 8 April to Saturday 11 April. All participants in the world-renowned Ultra Marathon, Half Marathon, Trail Run and International Friendship Run will collect their race packs at the Expo, while their family and friends accompany them to experience the vibe and spirit of the best runningrelated exhibition Cape Town has to offer. Everyone’ s welcome at the Two Oceans Marathon Expo, and entry is free!
When to Hit the Expo
• Wednesday, 8 April – 09h00 to 19h00
• Thursday, 9 April – 09h00 to 19h00
• Friday, 10 April – 09h00 to 19h00
• Saturday, 11 April – 09h00 to 15h00( Half Marathon runners only, and the doors will close strictly at 15h00).
Convenient Expo Parking
Getting to the Expo is made easier by the fact that a number of paid parking areas are all within walking distance of the venue, while a dedicated e-hailing drop-and-go lane will be available in front of CTICC 2 for ease of access. Added to that, On Friday, 10 April – traditionally the busiest day of the Expo – additional parking will be available at the Grand Parade, with a complimentary shuttle service running every 15 minutes to and from the CTICC.
Registration Made Easy
The Registration counters will be colour-coded to make it easier to navigate the process – blue for the Ultra, orange for the Half and green for the Trail Run – while Blue Number Club( BNC) members will have their own dedicated registration kiosk. Runners will receive their official race Tee with their race packs, and shirts can be exchange at the T-shirt Swap counter if the size is not quite right – subject to availability. Runners should just note that the Expo is the only place at which you may collect your race pack – there will be no race pack collection at any of the running events during race week.
Running Retail Therapy
Find all your sport, outdoor, adventure and running-related brands, products, gear, shoes, tech, tours, equipment, as well as best-in-category sport and lifestyle innovators in one convenient destination. Title Sponsor Totalsports will have a large retail stand selling all the latest sports gear, shoes and accessories, with terrific Expo specials on offer. Presenting Sponsor BYD will be hosting a number of Expo activations, including test drives of their incredible vehicles.
There’ s more to see and do. Be sure to visit the Cipla Prep Zone, where complimentary pre-race massages and strapping will help you feel relaxed, prepared and ready for the journey ahead. You can also have your race Tee customised with a printed message, and participants who pre-ordered event merchandise can collect it at the relevant stands at the Expo. Please just note that the Expo will be cashless, so remember the credit or debit card!
VIP Treatment for BNCs
Blue Number Club( BNC) members( and a guest) can catch up with running friends and acquaintances at the exclusive BNC Expo Lounge, stocked with refreshments as well as a dedicated T-shirt customisation stand. This is a longstanding tradition of the event, recognising the many years of commitment the BNC members have dedicated to the event, and BNCs must please remember to collect your BNC EXPO Lounge armband at the counter when collecting your race pack.

This Expo is not just about collecting race numbers, goodie bags and the must-have race T-shirt, it’ s about meeting up with running friends from around the world, soaking up the pre-race atmosphere, working out some of those pre-race nerves, and all while stocking up on race day essentials, and experiencing all the latest in lifestyle, sport, health and nutrition.
