YOU NEED TO KNOW …
Welcome to your official Race Information Guide for the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon powered by BYD. This guide is designed to walk you through every step of your journey – from registration to the finish line – ensuring a smooth, enjoyable and memorable experience. A few sections are unpacked in more detail in the pages that follow this main Race Info section, but we’ ll point out where to go for that. Now it’ s up to you to get all the info you need to plan an exceptional running experience at the world’ s most beautiful marathon!
RACE PACK COLLECTION & EXPO
1 WHEN & WHERE
1.1 The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon EXPO, including Race Pack Collection for all participating athletes, will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre( CTICC 2), on the corner of Heerengracht Street & Rua Bartholomeu Dias, in the Cape Town Foreshore.
1.2 Registration and Expo will take place on the following days:
• Wednesday, 8 April – 09h00 to 19h00
• Thursday, 9 April – 09h00 to 19h00
• Friday, 10 April – 09h00 to 19h00
• Saturday, 11 April – 09h00 to 15h00( Half Marathon runners only)
1.3 Please Note: Saturday 11 April is only for Half Marathon runners, and doors will close strictly at 15h00.
2 EXPO PARKING
2.1 A number of paid parking areas have been identified for runners attending the EXPO, including P1, P3, P5, Convention Towers, Site 1 and Site 5, as well as the Zip Zap Circus grounds.
2.2 A dedicated e-hailing drop-and-go lane will be available in front of CTICC 2 for ease of access.
2.3 On Friday only, additional parking will be available at the Grand Parade, with a complimentary shuttle service running every 15 minutes to and from the CTICC.
3.3 To ensure a seamless registration experience, please bring your original WhatsApp message containing your QR code.
3.4 Somebody may collect your race pack on your behalf if you selected the“ Proxy Collection” option in your race number WhatsApp message. Once completed, your original QR code will be deactivated and replaced with a new one sent to your proxy.( Please do not forward your original message to another person.)
3.5 No changes to your race details or start batch will be processed at Race Pack Collection.
3.6 T-shirt exchanges may be accommodated at the T-shirt Swap counter, subject to availability.
3.7 Please note: If you can no longer run for any reason, you may not give your race number to someone else. Race numbers could only be transferred using the official Entry Substitution Process, which is closed. Anyone caught giving their race number to someone else will result in a two- year ban from the event for both persons.
3.8 Should you require assistance, our Enquiries Desk will be available to guide you.
3.9 Please note: The Expo is the only place at which you may collect your race pack – there will be no race pack collection at any of the running events during race week.
3 REGISTRATION PROCESS
3.1 The Registration counters will be colour-coded to make it easier to navigate the process:
• Blue counters for the Ultra Marathon
• Orange counters for the Half Marathon
• Green counters for the Trail Run
3.2 Blue Number Club( BNC) members will enjoy a dedicated registration kiosk, and will receive a premium goodie bag. Please remember to collect your BNC EXPO Lounge armband at the counter.
