Cian Oldknow has been a revelation in the last few years . From dislocating her shoulder at the Africa Championships in Mauritius in the 10 000m ( 2022 ) and popping it back in , to setting seven PB ’ s in 2023 and running the second best ever Marathon time by a South African ( 2:25.08 – Sevilla ) in 2024 , Cian has swept all before her .
Her win at the Springs Striders 32km in January 2024 saw her become the 7th fastest ever over that distance , and the fastest since Rene Kalmer clocked 1:58.48 in 2013 .
In 2023 she set seven new Personal Bests ranging in distance from the 3000m to the Half Marathon .
Her biggest win in 2023 was that of the Hollywoodbets Durban 10k where she set a 10k PB of 32:17 .
