WELCOME TO THE NEW TTOM DIGIMAG

FROM THE TOM CHAIRPERSON
Hi Runners! With the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon only nine weeks away, I hope that your training is going to plan. There are still many runners looking for entries, so if you believe you will not make it to the start line, please put your entry up for substitution, so that we can get as close as possible to our permit limits on race day. Substitutions for the Half and
Trail close on the 28th February, and on the 15th March for the Ultra.
We extend a warm welcome to the TTOM family to Cipla as our new Recovery Partner. They look forward to assisting you at the Expo, on the route and at the Finish. We also welcome back Southern Sun as our hospitality partner.
I can’ t decide which of the event T-shirts I prefer. I am leaning towards the green for the trail, simply because it is a colour I do not have in my cupboard! We are glad that all three have met with general approval.
If you are entered for the Ultra and still have to run your qualifier, I wish you everything of the best.

Chris Goldschmidt

Chairman, Two Oceans Marathon NPC
FROM THE TTOM RACE DIRECTOR
The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon has always stood for more than just distance. It represents resilience, community, and the shared pursuit of excellence, set against one of the most iconic backdrops in world running. As we look ahead to the 2026 edition, our vision is rooted in honouring this legacy, while continually raising the standard of what runners can expect across the Ultra Marathon, Half Marathon and Trail Run.
Our commitment is simple yet uncompromising: To deliver a worldclass experience that is seamless, safe and unforgettable for every participant. From elite athletes chasing podium finishes to first-time runners fulfilling lifelong dreams, each journey matters. In 2026, our focus will be on refining operational excellence, enhancing runner support on route, and ensuring that every detail – from logistics and medical care to route management and sustainability – is executed with precision.
The Ultra Marathon remains the heartbeat of the event, steeped in history and challenge, while the Half Marathon continues to welcome thousands to experience the magic of Two Oceans. Meanwhile, our Trail
Run reflects our respect for the natural environment and our desire to offer runners an authentic, immersive experience through Cape Town’ s spectacular landscapes. Above all, my hope is that the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon once again brings people together in a powerful celebration of the spirit.

Race Director Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon
FROM THE OFFICIAL RECOVERY PARTNER
The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon is more than a race: It’ s a celebration of human possibility. Every runner who steps onto this iconic route embodies courage, resilience, and the belief that every stride has purpose. At Cipla, these values are at the heart of our Caring for Life ethos, which guides every decision we make and every community we serve.
Our sponsorship of the Two Oceans Marathon is built on a shared philosophy: That when people are supported to live healthier, fuller lives, they can achieve extraordinary things. Just as runners push beyond limits, our teams across Africa work every day to help people rise above challenges, whether through access to medicine, community-driven health 4 Totalsports programmes Two Oceans, or partnerships Marathon 2026 that create real social impact.
One of those partnerships is Miles for Smiles, a cause incredibly close to our hearts. Through this initiative, children born with cleft conditions receive life-changing corrective surgery, restoring not just a smile, but confidence, connection, and a future filled with new possibilities. Many of our Cipla runners dedicate their kilometres to these brave children, proving that when we run with purpose, we don’ t just move forward … we help others move forward, too.
To every athlete taking on the journey this year, thank you for reminding us what it looks like to show up, to persevere, and to run for something bigger than ourselves. Your commitment inspires us to continue our own race – the race to make a meaningful difference in every community we touch. May the strength in your legs reflect the passion in your heart. Run with purpose, run with pride, and know that with every step, you are part of a movement that truly cares for life.
