The date for the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon has been confirmed, a new presenting partner has been appointed, and now it’ s time for the entries process to begin!
The 56th edition of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon( TTOM), one of the world’ s most iconic running events, has officially been confirmed for the weekend of 11-12 April 2026. Widely known as“ the world’ s most beautiful marathon,” the event continues to attract thousands of elite and recreational runners from across the globe to Cape Town each year. Recent estimates show that the Two Oceans Marathon also contributes up to R1,5 billion to the Western Cape and City of Cape Town GDP annually, making it one of the biggest running events on the South African calendar, both in terms of entries and impact.
In recent weeks, the Board of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC announced the appointment of Stillwater Sports as the official Staging and Commercial Partner of the event. This partnership will ensure a world-class race experience for athletes, supporters, and the broader running community.

Entries Opening!
With the countdown to the 2026 event already underway, it is time for entries to open, and runners need to be aware of the various steps in the entry process, notably that entries for both the Ultra Marathon( 56km) and Half Marathon( 21.1km) races will once again be managed through a ballot( draw) system, with the first phase opening on Monday 15 September. Also, in order to get the entry process open as soon as possible, and meet the high demand for entries, the existing entries system will continue to be used for the 2026 event.
