RACE INFORMATION

CHARITY ENTRIES AND BENEFICIARIES

Applications to be an official charity opened after entries opened . Runners were able to buy these charity entries directly from the charity involved . Limited charity entries for the Ultra Marathon and Half Marathon were made available to the public , while runners were also encouraged to donate to the Two Oceans Marathon Initiative ( TOMI ).

CONFIRMATION OF ENTRY

All 2024 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon athletes would have received a final entry confirmation via email and / or SMS . Entries can also be confirmed by logging in to your profile on the Race Admin Entry system where you entered . The race confirmation message together with your ID document counts as valid identification methods to collect your race number .

CONTINGENCY PLANS

Contingency plans are in place to re-route any race in the event of a natural or other disaster ( e . g . fire on Chapman ’ s Peak ), and we work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth emergency transition . A detailed operational plan is in place for extreme cases where the race needs to be abandoned , and all affected parties ( runners , suppliers , sponsors , etc ) will receive communications via SMS and on social media .

CUT-OFFS

Cut-off is 7 hours batch gun to mat , with the final cut-off time to be determined by the start time of the last batch .

EIS FOR

CLUB KIT

All South African runners should wear the official clothing of their athletics club for the Ultra Marathon . If you are entered as a club member in the Half Marathon , club kit must be worn to qualify for team prizes . Your race day kit must also comply with the relevant advertising rules . Remember that your 2024 TTOM race numbers must be worn unaltered throughout the race on the front and back of your running vest and not on your running shorts .

EARPHONES

iPods , MP3 players or music devices of any sort with earphones or headphones are not allowed , as these are a safety hazard and hinder your interaction with runners , race officials and marshals . Running with these items could result in disqualification , and you will be disqualified if you fail to listen to a marshal or traffic official as a result of wearing earphones .

EMERGENCY

The emergency number for Race Weekend ( 15 and 16 April ) is 021 300 1286 .

EXPO

Runners who have not reached the following marks in the times specified will not be allowed to continue

• 25km Ultra cut-off at Sun Valley , Corsair Way : 8.35 AM

• 28km Ultra cut-off at Noordhoek Main Road : 9.09 AM

• 42.2km Ultra cut-off ( outside the Oranje Mor Primary School on the right ): 10.46 AM

• Finish : 12.39 AM

21.1KM CUT-OFFS

Final cut-off time is 3 hours 30 minutes batch gun to mat .

The official cut-off time will be determined by the start time of the last batch .

• There is a cut-off at 18km at Rhodes Avenue / Orchard Avenue – 10 AM .

• Finish : 10.30 AM

The Two Oceans Marathon Expo is the largest running-related expo in the Western Cape and takes place at the Sun Exhibits , GrandWest in Goodwood , Cape Town . As the official race number collection point for the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon , this expo attracts 60 000 visitors and more , over the four days . Over the years , it has become much more than just a running expo , and now includes top sporting brands , apparel , supplements , outdoor adventure sports and sporting tours , to name just a few .

The 2024 Expo will take place at Sun Exhibits , 1 Jakes Gerwel Dr , Goodwood , Cape Town , 7460 . Note that the Race Pack Collection is in Grand Arena . You will then exit the Grand Arena to reach The Main Hall at Sun Exhibits .

• Wednesday , 10 April : 10am to 8pm

• Thursday , 11 April : 10am to 8pm

• Friday , 12 April : 10am to 8pm

• Saturday , 13 April : 10am to 2pm ( The expo is open to all , but only Half Marathon runners may collect their race number on Saturday ). Doors close at 2pm sharp .
