DJ SPOTLIGHT
Veteran of the UK airwaves, the one
they call SheWolf tells a tale of loss,
struggle, and finally redemption
within the walls of The New Order!
Where does SheWolf come
from and what is she about?
I was born and raised in Tewkesbury,
Gloucestershire, Uk, but moved to Evesham, Worcestershire in 1985, when I got
married and where i currently live. I have
a son (Stephen) and Daugher (Lauren) and
of course my grandaughter (Amelia) who
helps out with some of my radio show jingles and even at just 6 years old is developing a passion for ROCK!
The town I live in has one decent Rock
venue and I normally have to travel further
afield for a good Rock/ Metal night particu-
larly with the indie artist. I go to as many
Unsigned gigs as i’m able to as well as festivals and put on a lot of my own.
-----------------------------What am i about!
I was given the name “SHE WOLF” by
a previous radio station that I use to Dj for
because they saw that my passion for Indie
music was strong and i needed to do something about this. I felt that I wanted to give
the Unsigned Indie artist especially in the
UK a voice in the world and to help get
their music across, and give it the voice
it deserves, whether its through my radio
show or other. I knew i had the passion and
wanted to do this for a long time, but never
had the nerve. I also own WOLF MUSIC
PROMOTION, where I work with a team of
people that i have chosen for their passion
for the Unsigned artist. We find them gigs ,
interviews and of course airplay. Its a hard
enough life out there on the road as it is so
if i can help these bands climb their way up
the ladder to achieve the success they crave
then my job is done! I feel a lot of Unsigned
artists these days are exploited by the media as a whole and have to fight for their
cause. I do this full time on the basis i have
a full time job in the daytime ( non music
related). It never evens
My “record player” (gosh that makes me
sound so old!) was always full of Rock and
Metal and i must have driven everybody mad
having Sabbath regularly belting out! I think
the earliest tune i can recall hearing which
got me into the heavy stuff was the classic
“smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. I
must have driven my parents insane belting Paranoid out as full volume as it would
go, which also encourage, the church going neighbours to bang on the wall to turn
it down. Did i Listen? .. HELL NO! Maybe
in those days i was a complete street wise
rebel but Kiss chase with the bad rock boys
sure was fun!
The songs that bring back memories and
what inspired me to be totally addicted to
Rock and Metal would have to be Paranoid
by of course, the mighty Black Sabbath as
