Tom: It can be but we’re starting to see those lines being blurred more with bands trading shows with each other and playing in each other’s cities. We have been trying to make a conscious effort at that as well. We really need each other to make it REALLY happen! As I tell people going to a see Killcode, it’s not a Live Show, it is an EXPERIENCE! I AM A FAN! Is there any conscious effort to write songs that translate to a live situation? Erric: We write from the heart. All of the songs are stories that are meant to bring out emotion. They all really MEAN something to us and that translates to our live show! Tom: I agree with Erric but there are times when I write a lyric or the guys write a riff and we know right away that it will transfer really well LIVE! It’s one of the things that i feel we have a natural instinct for! DC: I can say that we don’t write songs that we wouldn’t be able to play live. All of our songs start out as live music that we jam on together before going into a studio to record so, I wouldn’t call it a conscious effort, it’s just how we do it and it works for us. Fortunately, we all like each other and enjoy playing music with each other. LOL. At this phase I don’t see a point in writing something or overproducing a song to the point that we couldn’t pull it off live.
