“ In my research if found our that this certain goddess of love and war , named Frigg , from Norse mythology , gave witches the power to see into the future , which I thought was cool .”
an inspiration . That ’ s why you see so much of that now throughout the album . It ’ s like kind of a theme .
At first I didnt know what to write about when they were starting think about “ The Witch of the North .” I was like , what are we talking about ? Druids ? LOL . In my research I found that this certain goddess of love and war , named Frigg from Norse mythology , gave witches the power to see into the future , which I thought was cool .
This is a little bit heavier than your early work . Did you guys set out to make a heavier record or was it something organic ?
Laura Guldemond : We loved the heavier songs on “ Dance with the Devil ” so we kind of leaned in that direction . It wasn ’ t a choice we made . It was something that just happened . We played a little more laid back too and that made it sound a little heavier . To us is feels like a soundtrack to a movie with a big intro and outro .
Are you shooting any new videos for more music for the record ?
Laura Guldemond : Yes and No . We are doing interviews such as this of course , but we are shooting the video in stages . We are always on the go for sure , but the video , we have to do it that way for obvious reasons . We are planning more videos . We will do something like a live stream . We are so busy now , but we will plan it . I think this is the next thing we ’ re going to focus on to see how we ’ re going to arrange it here . I can imagine we will try to do it live but if restrictions are still there , maybe we can do a streaming concert .

ANNOUNCEMENT : LOOK FOR A LIVE STREAM MAY 28th . CHECK BURNING WITCHES WEBSITE FOR DETAILS
