As we have seen Metal evolve , has your writing style changed ?
BIFF : Well , I mostly spent a lot of time on lyrics so that they can be meaningful , so that can have an impact . Everyone has their own interpretation of a song . If a song that we have put out resonates with them and has meaning , then I ’ m okay with that . I mean we try and put an album out every 1 or 2 years that is unique .
Now it seems as if Saxon is touring constantly and we love seeing you . Is it by chance that San Antonio is always your last show on the tour , or is it the promoter ’ s ?
BIFF : It ’ s the promoters ( Laughing ). Well the promoter ’ s just book the show ’ s . We love being on tour and playing live . There is where a lot of our inspirations come from . As a matter of fact we are working on a tour with Judas Priest / Saxon Festival this year and we ’ re hoping to make it happen .
So , as I ’ m doing my research , I see that you and your son Seb from Naked Six are working on a new album ?
BIFF : Yes , some of the songs are similar to the album Saxon has coming out and it ’ s been a lot of fun working with him . We both have been going back and forth with each other and we ’ re working on getting the album out for February of next year .
