Not For The First Time, Sefton Girls Picking Up A
Trophy At Goodison Park
I know what a fantastic experience it’s been for them and one of
my aims is to increase the awareness of representative football as
it still comes as a surprise to some parents to hear of girls
representative teams.
I’m extremely proud of all the players I see progresses through
representative football and having the opportunity to play a small
part in their development, so I was really pleased to have been
asked to form part of a new management team at County level
this season with the Merseyside Girls U14 & U16 squads.
Those familiar with county representative football will understand
the levels that the players are playing at and the Merseyside
management team has welcomed the opportunity to work with
our schools and Regional Talent Clubs, who are doing a great job
supporting and developing elite players.
There are some fantastic district and county squads around the
country who your local schools FA can provide further details on,
as can players primary and secondary schools who nominate the
players for trials.
